31 Day Halloween Challenge
So, someone just sent me a 31 Day Halloween Challenge. Yeah, on day 22. But whatever, I love Halloween, so doing it anyway. Will post the first 22 here, and do the rest daily.
31 Day Halloween Challenge
Day 1. What is your favourite Halloween movie? From the actual Halloween movies, or just movies to watch on Halloween? I need specifics here! Lets assume they mean from the actual ‘Halloween’ films, and I’m gonna go with the original, first film. Though, if I’m honest, I’m not a big fan of any of them.
Day 2. What will you be for Halloween this year? I don’t know! We had it all planned out, but life fucked everything up as usual, and nothing’s been made. I don’t know what we’re gonna do yet! I’m panicking! *edit* Panic over. It’s sorted ;)
Day 3. What is your favourite horror movie? I can’t answer this! I LOVE horror films and there’s so many I could pick, and then I’d be like, “oh, but then there’s that one ..” Silent Hill, The Devil’s Rejects, Frontier(s), Martyrs, Let the Right One In (original), 28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later, The Shining, The Road and Eden Lake would definitely be amongst them.
Day 4. What is the dumbest costume you have ever seen? Last year some kid came to our door trick or treating with a few glo sticks on her arms and neck! Wtf! Obviously just after sweets, but she was unsuccessful here. No costume, no treats!
Day 5. What was your first horror movie? First horror I ever watched was Candyman. My mum was watching it with some friends, and I sneaked onto the stairs and watched it to. Scared the crap out of me, lol.
Day 6. If you could be any monster for a day who would it be? A yeti! Who the hell wouldn’t want to be a yeti for a day!
Day 7. What is your favorite Halloween character? Whatever I’m dressed as on the night :P
Day 8. Have you ever had a paranormal experience? Yes. We lived in a house that had something wrong with it. Some pretty scary stuff went down in that place.
Day 9. Do you believe in witchcraft? Yup. I mean, how can you not? Even if you don’t ‘believe in it’ it still goes on, and people who do believe are affected by it (voodoo for example). So it’s kind of impossible to say I don’t believe in it, when I know that it’s happening, effectively, for whatever reason.
Day 10. What is the best costume you’ve ever worn? To date, it would have to be Frank, from Donnie Darko. My uncle made the mask and it was awesome!
Day 11. What is your favorite candy? Anything sour, sugary and full of calories.
Day 12. How do you act when watching a scary movie? It’s been a long time since I was really scared by a film, so pretty normal, lol.
Day 13. What was the best pumpkin carving you’ve done? My mum does most of the pumpkin carving. She did a brilliant crow one year.
Day 14. Do you believe in ghosts/spirits? Yes, absolutely.
Day 15. Do you have any Halloween decorating tips? Be creative, and make everything yourself! Youtube is full of brilliant tutorials on how to do basic stuff, and you can work that into your own theme. Last year we had severed limbs in the front garden, lol. Oh, and a zombie hand hanging from the door handle ;)
Day 16. What do you use to hold candy when you trick or treat? Depends on the costume. We always try to make something that goes with whatever costume we’re wearing.
Day 17. What are your Halloween traditions? Every year is different, but we always have pumpkins, treats for the trick or treaters and a little family party.
Day 18. What are your best Halloween pranks or dares? Mostly we just try and scare people when they come to the house. There’s so many anti Halloweeners in our village that pranking them would only make it worse, so we don’t ‘trick’ the non treat givers.
Day 19. What is your biggest fear? People. Being in a state of emergency / crisis and how people would react to that. And then having to defend myself and my family against their reactions, which, knowing what humans can be like, would be terrible.
Day 20. What is your favourite TV show Halloween episode? Buffy, ‘Halloween’. Just love the idea behind it, that you actually become your Halloween costume. When you look at my next answer, the gravity of this becomes clear …
