There’s always been a lot of talk about ouija boards being dangerous, but are they really as dangerous as people say? Well, essentially, in my opinion, a ouija board is just a board with writing on it. The actual object itself is not dangerous. Using it does not suddenly make a piece of board with some letters on it dangerous.
What is dangerous is the mindset that using a ouija board puts you into. As soon as you make the decision to use one, you are opening your mind to the possibility of making contact with spirits and demons. You believe that the ouija board makes this possible, but what actually makes it possible is your new state of mind - open to the possibility of ‘making contact’ and indeed welcoming and wanting it. Allowing your mind to be opened in this way makes you vulnerable and accessible to spirits and demons. It invites them to converse with you. And that is where the danger comes into it. That you are inviting that contact - and in most cases, without any knowledge of what or who you are inviting, or how to properly deal with it, should it happen.
So, are ouija boards themselves dangerous? No. Is the act of using one dangerous? Yes, but because of your own state of mind, not because of the tool of communication you choose to use.
